Collection Loÿs Prat

Loÿs Prat (1879-1934), peintre né à Donzère, est une figure artistique profondément liée à sa commune natale.

Lauréat du second Grand Prix de Rome de peinture en 1908, il fut formé dans la tradition académique de l'École des Beaux-Arts avant de faire évoluer son style vers une peinture plus lumineuse et sensible, inspirée par les paysages du Rhône et les couleurs de la Provence qu'il aimait profondément. Belles, empreintes de poésie et de sérénité, les œuvres de Loÿs Prat constituent aujourd'hui l'intégralité de la collection conservée par la Commune de Donzère, témoignage précieux de son regard artistique et de son attachement à ce territoire.
